Oyez, Oyez, Oyez!
It was standing room only when Sheriff Asa Buck called to order a special session of Carteret County Superior Court on Monday morning, March 20, 2023, for the purpose of installing Alex Pully as the newest District Court judge for Judicial District 3-B. Judge John Nobles presided over the special session of court. After an invocation delivered by Alex’s brother, Will Pully, member of the Nash County Bar and attorney with Littlewood Law, their father, Bill Pully of the Carteret County Bar, moved the Court to admit Alex to the bench. Judge Nobles granted the motion, and Will and Alex’s mother, Dale Pully, held the bible while North Carolina Court of Appeals Judge Jefferson Griffin administered the oath of office.
After the ceremony a wonderful reception, prepared by Mrs. Pully and Will’s beautiful wife, Gretchen, was held in the courthouse. It was a grand affair, and everyone present eagerly waited in line to be the among the first to congratulate Judge Pully. Littlewood Law extends its heartfelt congratulations to Judge Alex Pully, and we know he will do an excellent job on the bench.
